Designers David Kohn Architects and artist Fiona Banner are planning to build a boat-like hotel atop the Thames River in London in time for the 2012 Olympic Games, according to the Daily Mail. Called A Room for London, the temporary installation will have panoramic windows, as well as an upper viewing deck offering untold views of the city. The hotel, outfitted in timber, will have a mast and look-out post; guests will be required to hoist a flag to show they are in residence.
