Hilton Worldwide has opened the Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park. The 299-room new-build is set in Granite Park, a master planned community in Plano, Texas, just north of Dallas.
“We are delighted to welcome Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park to our brand’s growing global portfolio of more than 550 hotels,” says Rob Palleschi, global head of Hilton Hotels & Resorts. “Hilton is proud to return to its roots and rich Texas history where 95 years ago our founder, Conrad Hilton, got his start in hospitality with his very first hotel, the Mobley Hotel, located just 150 miles southwest of Dallas in Cisco, Texas.”
Designed by locally based BOKA Powell, the hotel lobby includes a media bar with 12 large flatscreen televisions and a unique multi-purpose technology lounge. The hotel’s interior design melds the region’s agrarian history with modern amenities, furnishings, and lighting. Guestrooms incorporate a modern palette of upscale finishes with stone countertops, custom sinks, lighted mirrors, and a mosaic backlit tile.
Carso Mediterranean Grill offers a wide variety of cuisine inspired by locally renowned chef Anthony Bombaci, and a pedestrian waterfront boardwalk connects the hotel to a 30,000 square foot conference center.
