The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) in partnership with Hospitality Design (HD) magazine has extended the deadline for the 17th Annual IIDA/Hospitality Design Product Design Competition, which recognizes designers and manufacturers for excellence in innovation, function, and aesthetic advancements in the hospitality industry. The competition entry deadline is April 24.
Competition is open only to exhibitors at the 2013 Hospitality Design Exposition & Conference (HD Expo) in eight categories, including applied finishes and materials; textiles; flooring; individual seating; group seating; casegoods; and freestanding furniture, lighting, and accessories. A Best of Competition award will also be presented to one of the product design winners and all winning products, manufacturers, and designers will be published in the July issue of HD, as well as on the IIDA website. 


This year’s judging panel includes Scott Hierlinger IIDA, LEED AP, Nelson; Susanne Molina, IIDA, CID, LEED AP, ID+C, Klawiter & Associates; Patricia Rotondo, Assoc. IIDA, VOA Associates Inc.; and Felice L. Silverman, IIDA, LEED AP, ID+C, 
Silverman Trykowski Associates.
