Canaan Valley Resort State Park in West Virginia is undergoing the final stages of a $34 million renovation. Having begun two years ago, the renovations include the complete construction of a new lodge and will conclude in late October.
The renovation includes 160 guestrooms, an atrium-style lobby with a sleek stone facade, and additional conference space. Designed for a rustic, elegant appeal, the guestrooms feature oversized bathrooms and amenities for convenience.
Perched upon a plateau overlooking the valley and offering views of the surrounding peaks, Canaan Valley Resort will offer a variety of accommodations-including the new guestrooms and suites, cabin and cottage rentals, and paved campsites. Other resort venues include gift shops, several dining options, and an array of seasonal recreation activities.
The outdoor resort will now offer a five station sporting clay target field, along with ski slopes, 18 miles of marked trails, and various other activities.
