The first Candlewood Suites to feature the brand’s new interior design package has opened in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Graduate students from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) worked with a team from Candlewood parent company IHG to develop the scheme, known as “Haven,” which conjures the feeling of rest and refuge.
The concept comprises two design themes: “Nest,” featured at the North Little Rock hotel, is defined by earthy green colors, while “Harbor” boasts a palette of blue hues. The designs also incorporate sustainability, flexibility, and storage. Studio or one-bedroom suites are outfitted with full kitchen, recliner, and large workspace with desk chair.
