Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has added to its Asia Pacific pipeline with two new deals and three new hotel openings in India. At the same time, Carlson Rezidor has also grown its Radisson Blu brand with the opening of its first Radisson Blu hotel in Bangkok.
“Leveraging on our 2013 successes, the first four months of this year has shown strong successes in India and Thailand,” says Thorsten Kirschke, president for Asia Pacific under Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. “In the next few months, we will continue to grow our hotel portfolio and strengthen our position in these emerging markets as well as in Indonesia and China. Today, we have 95 operating hotels and by year end, we will have more than 100 hotels in operation across the Asia Pacific region.”
New deals include the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson Aligarh Uttar Pradesh near Delhi, which is expected to open in Q2 in 2017, as well as the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson Kharar in Mohali.
Among the new hotel openings is the Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa,
a 240-key hotel that debuted earlier this month; as well as the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Bangkok in Sukhumvit, which is Carlson Rezidor’s first Radisson Blu hotel in the city. Other openings include the Radisson Hyderabad Hitec City and the Park Plaza Zirakpur.
