Carlson has unveiled a new brand strategy for its Radisson hotels, which will entail a $1.5 billion investment to upgrade existing hotels and build new ones throughout North America. The strategy includes five new room concepts: And Relax, Naturally Cool, New York Mansion, Ocean, and Urban, all of which share a vibrant and contemporary design, the use of bold colors and lighting, and a comfortable vibe. In addition, Carlson will unveil two new restaurant concepts—Filini, an Italian venue, and a bar-and-grill called rbg.
The Radisson program is part of Carlson’s Ambition 2015 global growth strategy which includes the expansion of the company’s portfolio by at least 50 percent by 2015 to more than 1,500 hotels in operation.
