Alicart Restaurant Group has unveiled its Washington, DC, location of Carmine’s. The $9 million, 670-seat venue has a colossal 40-seat wraparound bar, a 50-seat cocktail lounge, and a main dining area with moveable walls that allow for nine separate dining configurations. The Johnson Studio spearheaded the design, which integrates nostalgic black-and-white Italian-American family photographs surrounded by hanging chandeliers, while large menu boards are strewn throughout the space.
The DC location joins two others in New York City, where the original Carmine’s is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
