Meliá Hotels International has allied with the Chinese Greenland Group to promote growth and brand awareness for Meliá in China. After four months of development, both companies presented the 177-room Qube Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany.
The new brand integrates the needs of international travelers and Asian markets. Qube Frankfurt provides customer service in Mandarin Chinese-along with Chinese menus. Additional amenities include a Chinese restaurant, a Chinese banquet and meeting arrangements, and an authentic Chinese restaurant.
Says Gabriel Escarrer Jaume, vice president and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, “This change is another step forward in our innovative alliance with Greenland, allowing our brands to grow quicker and achieve greater brand recognition in the Chinese market, while at the same time enriching our hotel portfolio in Germany with a brand which brings operating standards and services which are more appropriate for the growing number of Asian visitors.”

Two Greenland hotels-operated by Meliá Hotels International-are slated for Jinan, China in October and Tianjin, China in Q1 of 2014.
