Branding and design consultancy Chute Gerdeman has developed a new prototype in Mobile, Alabama, for Checkers Drive-In Restaurants. The firm has re-imagined the chain’s iconic elements such as the stainless steel banding, signage, neon checkerboard accents, red umbrellas, and bold black, white, and red color scheme. Now, a new sweeping wing-style roofline, soaring bright red columns, and a bolder checkerboard pattern define the new design, which also features updated outdoor dining and a new sign system.
