Coeur d’Alene Resort in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, has unveiled the results of its year-long multimillion dollar renovation. The in-house design team of the hotel’s owner, Hagadone Hospitality, collaborated with designer Guy Dreier of Palm Springs, California, and local architect Corry Trappon on the project.

Designed as a warm, inviting space, the reimagined lobby showcases a custom built-in 32-foot-by-5-foot 2,200 gallon aquarium with Japanese and Koi fish, along with Brazilian waterfall green granite, blonde hardwood flooring, cozy furnishings, and a fireplace. Meanwhile, guestrooms in the original North Wing feature an entertainment system, black absolute granite furnishings and shower fixtures, and an entertainment bar. The redesigned hotel bar, Whispers, is surrounded by five fire cauldrons and an outdoor deck with four firepits.
In addition, last summer marked the debut of the 11,000-square-foot Hagadone Event Center with more than 200 feet of sliding glass walls, tall fireplaces and dynamically engineered sound systems and banquet space for 300 people. A new garden area-which overlooks the lake and features a floating bridge in the center of a reflecting pool-was built adjacent to the event center, surrounded by privacy berms planted with 20,000 multi-colored petunias and 5,000 junipers. Additional amenities include an infinity-edge pool with sun deck and fully furnished private cabanas, as well as an expanded fitness area overlooking the pool.
