The Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska, has re-affiliated as a Marriott. Marcus Hotels and Resorts, the hotel’s new management company, will start a multimillion-dollar renovation early next year that will include all 297 guestrooms and suites, 45,600 square feet of meeting space, the hotel lobby, restaurant, and bars.
New F&B options call for Cornhusker Café on the ground floor, modeled after Marcus’ Café at the Pfister at the company’s flagship property, the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, as well as Miller Time Pub & Grill, developed in association with MillerCoors. The overhaul also will include upgrades to function space, such as new carpeting, wallcoverings, and other updated design elements such as an elegant chandelier in the 10,545-square-foot Grand Ballroom. A revamp of the 10th-floor concierge lounge also is part of the renovation.
