A 150-room Courtyard by Marriott is being planned for downtown Newark, New Jersey, according to the Associated Press. The new-build hotel—the first in the area in 40 years—will be attached to the Prudential Center, where the New Jersey Devils and Seton Hall men’s basketball team play. The property, which will also include 15,000 square feet of retail space, is slated to open in 2010.
