Marriott has signed a management agreement for the 168-room Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Herald Square, scheduled for completion in early 2012. The hotel will occupy the former Atlantic Bank of New York building, constructed in 1928. The 17-story structure will maintain its façade, with 5,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Serving as the property’s centerpiece is the brand’s signature “refreshing business” lobby, featuring bright contemporary design, flexible space, and innovative technology such as the 55-inch GoBoard.
