Coworth Park, a luxury country house hotel from the Dorchester Collection, has opened 45 minutes outside of London. Sunken gardens, a lime grove, meadows, and private polo fields populate the property. The design by Fox Linton Associates recognizes the hotel’s Georgian origins while emphasizing informal comfort and simple beauty akin to staying in a private English country estate. The highlight of Coworth Park’s 16 suites is the private Dower House, which was built in 1775 and has its own dining room, lounge, kitchen, study, and a secluded garden with a stream running through it. Guests also have access to a luxury spa.
The hotel has focused on green features as well, such as a biomass boiler with an underground energy center and a ground source water circulation system that provides cooling.
