Crowne Plaza will make its debut in Thailand’s capital when it rebrands the Pan Pacific Bangkok, effective January 1, 2011. The 241-key hotel, known as Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park, features five F&B outlets, a spa, and extensive banqueting facilities. “It’s no secret that we’ve been looking for the right opportunity to open a Crowne Plaza in Bangkok,” says Jan Smits, managing director of IHG Asia Australasia. “This rebranding gives us the chance to launch Crowne Plaza in a great location and a fantastic platform to build this brand in Thailand.”
In addition to Crowne Plaza, IHG has three other brands represented in Thailand: InterContinental, Holiday Inn, and Holiday Inn Express.
