The Crowne Plaza Hotel Indianapolis Downtown Union Station will embark on an $8 million renovation early next year. The property, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, will redo guestrooms to include new casegoods and new floor tile and granite countertops in bathrooms. Public space, meeting facilities, and F&B outlets also will receive upgrades.
The hotel is best known for its 26 authentic Pullman train car sleeper rooms resting on their original tracks, along with the Grand Hall ballroom featuring original barrel-vaulted stained glass ceiling with matching stained-glass wagon wheel windows.
