Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the Park Hyatt Busan in South Korea. Following the opening of Park Hyatt Seoul, the hotel marks the tenth Park Hyatt property in Asia Pacific and the second Park Hyatt hotel in South Korea.
Inspired by Busan and its ocean views, New York-based architect Daniel Libeskind designed a curved building representing not only ocean waves, but also the camellia-a symbolic flower of the city. The interior of the 269-room hotel was designed by Japanese design firm Super Potato. Nature-friendly materials-such as hardwood and natural stone-offer a residential style.
F&B amenities include the Dining room-an open kitchen and sushi bar-as well as the Living room, the Lounge, and Patisserie. Occupying three floors, are the fitness center, Lumi Spa boasting seven treatment rooms filled with natural light, and an indoor swimming pool, which is built on 65-foot-wide granite stones.
All banquet halls in Park Hyatt Busan boast 15-foot high ceilings, and on the 33rd floor, the Drawing room is Busan’s first-ever multi-event facility.

Says Larry Tchou, group president of Asia Pacific, Hyatt Hotels Corporation: “This opening is a true reflection of the ways in which Hyatt continually aims to become the most preferred brand in every segment we serve, and it also shows the thoughtful growth of the Park Hyatt brand into areas in which we know our customers are traveling.”
