W New York‘s eight meeting and event spaces, including the signature Great Room, have undergone a complete refresh courtesy of dash design. The firm has incorporated design elements that offer a subtle nod to iconic Manhattan. For instance, architectural landmarks appear on the window scrims in each meeting room, while a faint shadow of New York’s skyline appears on the newly carpeted floor.
A careful selection of lighting, color, pattern, and furnishings further brings the city’s energy to life. For example, dash reimagined the Great Room to include a ceiling adorned with a glass sculpture that celebrates Manhattan’s bright lights and gridded order. The contemporary chandelier integrates hundreds of suspended glass panels lit by LED lights, allowing for endless colored and neutral lighting options for guests.
Overlooking the hotel’s Living Room, Assembly 3 features a long modular sofa backed by a screen of upright metal bands, creating a layer of privacy while paying homage to New York’s vertical nature. A number of seating areas have been created to allow for a private escape or small group gatherings.
