New York-based Rockwell Group has appointed Shawn Sullivan to partner. Sullivan will continue to serve as studio leader of his 50-person studio.
As the firm’s first partner, Sullivan’s responsibilities will cover many firm-wide initiatives, including his current projects at Andaz Maui at Wailea, Nobu Hotel (Las Vegas, Riyadh, and Chicago), Nobu Doha, Marriott Edition hotels (New York City and Abu Dhabi), and TAO Downtown.
“Shawn has always been a driving force behind the success and growth of Rockwell Group and his clients,” says David Rockwell, founder and president of Rockwell Group. “I am confident that he will apply his extraordinary creative talent and business acumen as partner and generate even greater contributions across the firm.”
Sullivan, who has worked at Rockwell Group since 1997, previously worked on properties such as Maialino, Belvedere Hotel Mykonos, the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center, Aloft hotel, and multiple Nobu restaurants and hotels worldwide. He holds a bachelor of arts in architecture from Yale University.

“I am thrilled to take on this new role at Rockwell Group-my creative home and inspiration for more than 15 years,” says Sullivan. “It is an honor to collaborate with the firm’s many inspirational design minds. I’m looking forward to continue to grow Rockwell Group in new directions.”
