Delta Hotels and Resorts has opened the Delta Kingston Waterfront Hotel in Kingston, Ontario. Following a $10 million renovation, the repositioned hotel will deliver the city’s first 4-Star upscale, full-service hotel.
“We are excited to bring Delta’s upscale hotel experience to one of the best locations in Kingston,” says Ken Greene, president and CEO of Delta Hotels and Resorts. “The property’s prime waterfront and downtown location is what sets it apart from the competition, and the renovation has repositioned the hotel as a product leader in the local marketplace.”
The 126-room hotel now features a completely redesigned lobby, guestrooms, business area, and 5,000 square feet of meeting and conference space. The onsite restaurant⎯⎯AquaTerra by Clark⎯⎯was also fully renovated to include multi-functional and flexible spaces with panoramic waterfront views.
The new guestrooms are inspired by the Canadian landscape with fresh and modern color palettes and focus on maximizing natural light. Replacing the typical hotel business center, a portion of the lobby has also been transformed into a series of interactive work hubs and lounge areas. The space includes two boardrooms built right on the water’s edge, while the top floor meeting space accommodates larger groups and provides panoramic views of the downtown waterfront.
The hotel is Delta’s ninth property in Ontario, with other hotels scheduled to open in Waterloo, Thunder Bay, and Toronto.
