The Declan Suites in San Diego, formerly the Sheraton Suites, has completed a four-month renovation of its public spaces.
As a nod to its neighbor, Copley Symphony Hall, the hotel embodies a musical aesthetic throughout. From the dozens of vintage records to the repurposed oil can Bohemian guitars available for guests to play around the property, the Declan provides a visual and auditory homage to its past.
At the heart of the first-phase transformation is Deck 12, a 5,400-square-foot restaurant, bar lounge, and private meeting space. Los Angeles-based firm, Design 360 Unlimited, known for its work on such luxury properties as the Fairmont San Francisco, infused the communal area with elements intended to resemble a resort-like deck.
