The Lord Baltimore Hotel in Maryland has been restored by Rubell Hotels in a design spearheaded by New Yorkâ€â€œbased designer Scott Sanders.

The grand French Renaissance landmark houses 440 guestrooms and suites over 23 floors, more than 20,000 square feet of event space, several dining and lounging spaces, and one of the city’s only rooftop event spaces.
The grand lobby evokes a living room, complete with a gold Murano glass chandelier, white columns, and groupings of mid-centuryâ€â€œinspired lounge seating. Seven large, multicolored Candida Höfer photographs of libraries of the world, on loan from the Rubell Family Collection’s museum in Miami, are featured throughout the adjacent LB Tavern. Each guestroom boasts dark wood tones with clean lines, contemporary art, and velvet drapes.
The Lord Baltimore’s updated Calvert ballroom highlights original scenic murals, crystal Baccarat chandeliers, and six balconies, which are symbolic of the six Lords Baltimore. Art exhibitions are planned throughout the public spaces and will house local, national, and global artwork.
