In 2008, iconic fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg created a collection inspired by the hotels where she has stayed. Now, she’s taking her designs into an actual hotel, decorating 20 guestrooms at Claridge’s Mayfair in London with the help of interior designer Olivier Gelbsmann. The accommodations will showcase von Furstenberg’s trademark prints, along with her original designs of a vanity, traveling trunk, desk, and cocktail bar.
“I’m very much a traveling soul,” von Furstenberg tells the Wall Street Journal. “I have spent so much time in hotels. I know what people who stay in hotels need.”
