DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS will host its 15th annual Dining by Design tour with five days of events running concurrently with the Architectural Digest Home Design Show at Pier 94 in New York, March 22-26. DIFFA will honor Alfredo Paredes, executive vice president and chief retail officer for Ralph Lauren Corporation, with the inaugural David Rockwell Award, for his years of dedicated service and support as a trustee of the foundation for over 14 years. Ralph Lauren will present Paredes with the award during the Gala Dinner celebration on Monday, March 26th.
The multi-city restaurant tour, which in past years has raised more than $13 million for DIFFA, will feature dining installations by the likes of David Rockwell, Richard Chai, David Stark, Evette Rios, Jonathan Adler, and Christopher Peacock, as well as New York’s top design schools led by mentors such as Clodagh and Isabel & Ruben Toledo. The full slate of participants will be announced in the coming weeks, each of them tasked to create a magical environment that must adhere to only one rule: allowing 10 people to dine within the installation.
