Walt Disney World will refurbish some of its existing hotel rooms to create “princess” and “health and wellness” suites, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The theme park is converting existing suites to target niche segments willing to pay more for a unique experience.
Disney will convert 512 suites at its Port Orleans Resort into “Royal Rooms,” heavily themed accommodations fit for a Disney princess, with details such as faucets in the form of Aladdin’s genie lamp. In addition, the company will refurbish 23 guestrooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort as health-and-wellness suites. Guests will have access to a private yoga studio and concierge services on a dedicated floor.
