The DoubleTree by Hilton Alana Waikiki has completed its $16 million transformation, helmed by Tracey Simpson of Idea Innovative Designed Environments Associates (IDEA). The redesign of the hotel’s 317 guestrooms focuses on relaxation, sophistication, and functionality, where clean lines and soft curves emulate the surrounding landscape. Rich colors, bold patterns, and tactile textures enhance the tranquil setting. The baths, meanwhile, utilize light stone, bold accent colors, and rain showers.
The guestroom upgrades follow the completion last year of the lobby and public areas, featuring new furnishings, carpeting, wallcoverings, and window treatments. Soothing hues of blues cascade on the window sheers, welcoming natural light, while the ocean theme continues to the area rugs with their wave and sea patterns.
