DoubleTree by Hilton, Shanghai-Pudong has opened as the brand’s first hotel in Shanghai and Hilton Worldwide’s first franchised property in China. The 850-key property, formerly the Sofitel JJ Oriental Hotel, will embark on a major renovation to build a new 8,000-square-foot ballroom, as well as redesign all F&B venues, meeting space, and retail offerings. Amenities include a fitness center, spa with men’s and women’s sauna and steam facilities, outdoor tennis courts, and indoor pool.
