Dream Downtown, the latest hotel from Vikram Chatwal, has opened its doors in Manhattan. Handel Architects and design partner Frank Fusaro oversaw the renovation of the property, occupying the 1960s Albert C. Ledner building. Andy Warhol’s Factory informs the design of the 316 loft-like guestrooms and suites, which feature portal windows, contemporary furnishings, and custom Etro bath amenities.
The hotel also includes Marble Lane, a steakhouse; PH-D Rooftop Lounge, featuring a spacious dance hall and housed between floor-to-ceiling glass walls with sweeping views of Manhattan; and an expansive pool deck with dedicated beach club. Romera New York restaurant, featuring a “neuro-gastronomy” culinary style, will open this fall.
