DuPont Building Innovations has released its DuPont Building Information Modeling (BIM) Design Studio, which applies 3D modeling for wall systems utilizing DuPontâ„¢ Tyvek® commercial products. DuPont teamed up with McGraw-Hill Construction for the planning resource, which functions as a connection between the Tyvek products and data such as structural characteristics, cost estimates, and installation timing. Users of the program can perform dew point and condensation analyses through simulations that indicate the presence of condensation within the internal wall cavity for a project’s wall assembly. Additionally, architects and contractors can create energy modeling analyses, a comparison feature that measures energy savings through heating and cooling costs.
