Duravit‘s venture into the kitchen has been a memorable one, with the company winning the 2009 Innovative Product of the Year award in the Sink and Plumbing category from the Decorative Plumbing and Hardware Association (DPHA). The judges’ panel evaluated nominations based on the technological and design innovation of products released in the last 18 months across six categories—cabinet hardware, door hardware, bath furniture, accessories, tubs, and sinks and plumbing fixtures.
Judges included Jennifer Krichels, special projects editor of The Architect’s Newspaper; Jana Schiowitz, products editor of Hospitality Design; Jordan Kushins, assistant editor of Dwell; Eliot Sefrin, editorial director and publisher of Kitchen Bath & Design News; and Maxine Lauer, founder of Sphere Trending.
