Durkan has announced the winners of its D*scover design competition, held in partnership with NEWH. Karen Bradley, marketing coordinator at Boston-based firm Group One Partners, Inc., took the grand prize in the professional category with her vibrant floral-inspired patterns. Using the hydrangea as her muse, Bradley created a delicately designed collection brought to life with vivid, eye-catching hues. In addition to showing her designs at HD Expo, Bradley will travel to New York City for lunch and a studio tour with Todd Oldham.
Meanwhile, University of Northern Iowa sophomore Emily Riebkes won in the student category for her organic patterns, based off the reflections and ripples of water. She received a $3,000 Durkan scholarship from NEWH.
