With the help of iconic fashion designer Betsey Johnson, the Plaza Hotel has revealed its new Eloise suite, inspired by the precocious fictional 6-year-old who took up residence at the legendary property. A pink-and-black palette defines the whimsical suite, accented by a chandelier fitted with pink bulbs, candy-striped wall panels outlined with gold leaf molding, a sparkling pink headboard and ottoman, and zebra-print carpet.
Custom-designed bedding and bow-tie curtains depict scenes drawn by Eloise illustrator Hilary Knight (whose prints also adorn the walls), while accent pillows are sheathed in shams patterned with “Betseyville Rose” and “Betsey Rosebud” prints. Two plush chairs and lamp shades also feature Johnson’s signature rosebud prints.
