Embassy Suites by Hilton will open in Santo Domingo in Q2 2013 as the brand’s first hotel in the city and second in the Dominican Republic. The upscale property will comprise 200 two-room suites with a separate living area, private bedroom, wet bar, and two flatscreen TVs. Other amenities include fitness facilities; a business center; 16,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, including two ballrooms, breakout rooms, and a meeting room; and 4,300 square feet of outdoor events space. The hotel will be part of a complex that includes a three-level shopping mall with retail shops, five movie theaters, food court, children’s entertainment area, and five levels of underground parking.
