Montana Property Group, helmed by Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana, and Lowe Enterprises have unveiled their plans for a mixed-use development near the San Francisco 49ers’ new stadium. The $400 million Centennial Gateway in Santa Clara, California, will have two hotels totaling 325 rooms, as well as 150,000 square feet of restaurants, specialty retail, and entertainment spaces.
Architecture firm NBBJ has been contracted as the project’s master planner. Centennial Gateway is expected to be approved in summer 2014 with the first phase breaking ground soon thereafter. The first phase, which includes a hotel, is targeted for completion in advance of the Super Bowl in February 2016.
