Sharing a tower with a Raffles hotel and residences, Fairmont Makati will open its doors in the Philippines on December 3. Arquitectonica and interior design firm Bent Severin International have incorporated cultural characteristics of Filipino design in a modern setting. The companies used a host of local materials, such as coco-twig white resin, crushed mahogany seeds embedded in the walls, abaca laminated glass, and pearl inlay handles on mahogany wood. The hotel’s 280 guestrooms boast floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city.

F&B options include all-day-dining restaurant Spectrum, offering five “culinary theaters”; Café Macaron; Lounge at Fairmont; Long Bar; and Writers Bar. Meanwhile, the expansive Willow Stream Spa features five treatment rooms, a hair salon, full-service nail studio, mineral pool, an outdoor swimming pool, and terrace. The hotel also offers 18,000 square feet of function space.
