Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives has opened as the brand’s first resort on the island. The 160-room property offers eight categories of villas—all with large picture windows and optional outdoor showers—ranging from those with garden views to overwater units. F&B options include private barbecues in the villas, poolside dining, signature restaurant the Kitchen (complete with a wine center), and rooftop lounge. Among the resort’s leisure and recreational offerings are the COMO Shambala Spa, dive center, and kids’ club. In addition, the resort has its own radio station with three channels and resident DJs, contributing to the island ambiance.
