The first Home2 Suites by Hilton property has broken ground in Fayetteville, North Carolina, with a projected opening of Q4 2010. The 119-key mid-tier extended stay hotel will feature an integrated guest laundry and fitness room; outdoor living rooms; grills; outdoor walking/exercise course; and Oasis, a flexible community space that offers gathering and individual work zones, breakfast service area, activity room and indoor pool.
Guestrooms provide separate media and bedroom areas, a fully accessorized kitchenette, 42-inch flatscreen TV, roll-around ottoman, ambient and task lighting, and a "working wall" that incorporates flexible workspace with a moveable desk. Environmentally conscious appointments include low flow showers and faucets, bulk bath amenities, dual flush toilets, recycled flooring, and other sustainable product selections.
Since January, Hilton has received 67 applications, approved 53 franchise agreements (with commitments to move into construction soon), and has more than 30 additional properties in the early stage of development pipeline for Home2 Suites.
