Marriott International has announced plans for the SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York City/Manhattan Midtown, a first for the brand in the Big Apple. The new-build hotel, on track to open in 2013, offers 173 suites with separate areas for working, living, and sleeping; luxury bedding; pullout sofas and lounge chairs; and spa-like bathrooms with sleek sliding doors, marble-top vanities, and iridescent tile walls. Guests also will have access to a fitness center, meeting room, and a 24/7 market.
