The landscape of Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas will change this fall, when Fitzgeralds Casino & Hotel becomes D Las Vegas Casino Hotel. The property’s 638 guestrooms will feature upgrades such as pillow-top mattresses, flatscreen TVs, and electronics docking stations. The casino’s second floor will showcase classic coin-operated slot machines and convey a vintage Vegas feel, with modern gaming and amenities slated for the main floor. New dining venues will include Don B’s Steakhouse and Courtyard Grill, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The renovation also will result in the LONGBAR, stretching the length of the casino; D Bar on Fremont Street; and 8,000 square feet of function space.
