InterContinental Hotels Group has opened Hotel Indigo Düsseldorf – Victoriaplatz in Germany’s fashion capital. Opening as the third Hotel Indigo property in Germany, the property will join the Hotel Indigo Berlin – Alexanderplatz and Hotel Indigo Berlin – Ku’Damm.
Designed by Belgium-based Formart, Hotel Indigo Düsseldorf – Victoriaplatz’s 126 bedrooms take inspiration from the local area with statement furniture and vibrant colors. Illustrated by unique fabrics and patterns, each floor pays tribute to a different decade of fashion, from the 1950s to the 2000s. Murals shot by fashion photographer and stylist Armin Morbach are showcased throughout to depict the fashion industry’s growth from the ’50s to present day.
The hotel also boasts a garden terrace and a cocktail lounge, and a dress kitchen and bar uses seasonal ingredients to create a fashion-focused menu with dishes from the Rhine region.
“Located in the fashion capital of Germany, the property truly encapsulates the style and charm of this chic cosmopolitan city for guests to enjoy, both inside and out,” says IHG’s Tom Rowntree. “The two Hotel Indigo properties in Berlin have proved a popular base for city explorers and we look forward to welcoming guests to this new hotel.”
