The 256-room Four Seasons Baltimore has arrived, designed by architectural firms BHC and HKS Hill Glazier with interiors by BraytonHughes Design Studio. Guests are greeted with an installation of light and paper behind the reception desk, while the wide lobby and grand staircase are lit by handblown Murano glass fixtures, with pieces that form part of the city’s largest hotel art collection gracing the walls. Throughout the hotel, modern works by contemporary American and international artists are on display.

Outfitted with floor-to-ceiling windows, guestrooms and suites will boast harbor views and a contemporary American style. For dining, Wit & Wisdom by Michael Mina serves as a whimsical interpretation of a modern steakhouse tavern inspired by dockside joints from centuries ago. The best seats in the house surround four fireplaces built into walls between floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto the harbor. Other F&B outlets include a casual diner-style bistro, Asian restaurant Pabu (opening in February 2012), a pool bar and grill, and bar and lobby lounge.

The 10,000-square-foot spa features 11 treatment rooms, separate men’s and women’s relaxation areas, sauna, and steam. Two pools-one with an infinity edge that appears to spill into the harbor-and a fitness center round out the leisure offerings. For meetings and events, space includes a 5,300-square-foot grand ballroom, another dividable ballroom, 10 smaller meeting rooms, and an executive boardroom.
