Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is targeting China for strategic growth with 11 additional properties in the country. The brand already has three there: Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai, Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, and Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip.
Hotels and resorts coming online in the next four years include:
Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake, opening late summer, features a signature restaurant with 11 private dining rooms terraced over a lagoon, 81 guestrooms and villas, several pool, and a spa.
The 344-key Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou, debuting late 2010, will be the city’s tallest building. Highlights include a 70th-floor atrium that soars up more than 30 stories, the Cloud Bar on floor 99, a spa, and restaurants.
Shanghai at Pudong, opening late 2011, will have 200 guestrooms and 60 private residences.
Beijing (Chaoyang), opening late 2011 or early 2012, will have more than 300 rooms, Chinese and Italian restaurants, several lounges, a full-service spa and fitness center, and comprehensive meeting spaces.
Shenzhen, opening in 2012, will be part of a mixed-use development and will include a restaurant dedicated to local cuisine.
Qingdao, opening 2013/2014, will be located on the waterfront and feature 200 guestrooms, 80 apartments, several restaurants and lounges, pool, and spa.
Hainan at Shenzhou Peninsula, opening 2013/2014, will be designed as a tropical oasis that incorporates a series of spa villas.
Hainan at Sanya, opening 2014, whose highlights include a beach restaurant and ballroom.
Suzhou, opening 2014, will be situated on a small private island in Jinji Lake and feature amenities such as garden suites, indoor pool, and tennis courts.
Beijing (Financial Street), opening 2014, will be the second Four Seasons for the city.
Tianjin, opening 2014, will be housed in a tower that shares space with Four Seasons private residences.
