Four Seasons Hotel Prague has unveiled a new presidential suite and guestrooms designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon. The presidential suite, located in the hotel’s Baroque building, is adorned in a palette of deep red, gold, dark brown, and black. Complemented by Baroque-style furnishings and a Czech crystal chandelier, curved and sculpted walls showcase Venetian plaster and sgrafito paintings, a centuries-old paint and wet plaster technique that literally means “graffiti.” The living room boasts warmth, thanks to a seating area with sofas and a fireplace, a piano by the window with river views, and a reading corner featuring leather armchairs and library.
Meanwhile, the Modern building’s refurbished guestrooms-also designed by Rochon-reflect contemporary life in Prague with a design scheme inspired by the Austro-Hungarian Modernista style of the 1920s and ’30s. The spaces feature two color options: a touch of turquoise accentuates a palette of black, gray, white, and chrome, while a scheme of taupe, brown, and chrome has warm rust accents. Bohemian crystal elements, striped wallpaper, Modernista vases, and clean lines all pay homage to Czech aesthetic. Black and white photos of old Prague complete the look.
