Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has signed on to operate Bilila Lodge in the Serengeti National Park, with plans to upgrade the resort and rename it Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti, Tanzania this fall. Surrounded by wildlife, the property features 60 guestrooms, 12 suites, and five villas, all of which have direct views over the Serengeti. Designed with contemporary African architecture sympathetic to the natural landscape, the resort boasts a two-story great house offering several dining options, a spa, and an infinity-edge pool overlooking an active watering hole. Elevated wooden walkways connect the great house to accommodations.

Four Seasons also is making plans for two more properties in sub-Saharan Africa with a luxury tented safari camp in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and an exclusive beach resort on the island of Zanzibar.
