Fritz Hansen, the Danish furniture manufacturer, has appointed Henrik Hjorth as vice president for the North America division. He will work out of the company’s New York City headquarters.

Succeeding David Rosenkvist, who is returning with his family to Denmark, Hjorth recently served as director of architecture and design at the Danish Consulate in New York. Prior to that position, he was president of Vipp, Inc. and was the managing director and founding partner at Nordkys Institute.

With a Masters of Science, Economics, and Business Administration from the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark, Hjorth has worked in top leadership and communications positions both in New York and Denmark.

“I grew up in Denmark surrounded by Fritz Hansen furniture and have always appreciated the beauty, craftsmanship, and timeless durability of the designs,” says Hjorth. “I believe Fritz Hansen will become even more relevant to the North American markets in the coming years and it gives me great pleasure to further develop the brand with our team and our partners.”
