Garden Court Hotel in Palo Alto, California, has unveiled its 62 renovated guestrooms, part of a $9 million property enhancement. Spanish interior designer Pablo Paniagua envisioned the hotel as a symbol of downtown’s urban and technological roots while adding touches inspired by his home country. Aged mirror paneling, along with photographs of Palo Alto, adorns the walls, while rich blue or brown carpeting is accented by a geometric design. Bronze and black oak contrast a color palette of white, mixed blue hues, and brown and cream tones. The use of enameled and lacquered woods, combined with mixed metals and an array of high-quality upholsteries and silk fabrics, create a luxurious look. The vibe continues to the bathrooms, where white-gray marble complements silver fixtures and dark woods.
In addition, the majority of the guestrooms include French doors and private patios that look out onto the open-air tiled floor courtyard and fountains. Many of the accommodations also feature a separate aerated spa-tub, fireplace, and breakfast nook. In the penthouse suite, guests have access to a marble rain shower, living room with private bar, fireplace, and two private landscaped patio gardens with fountain.
