Gaylord Entertainment will invest $800 million to build an 85-acre resort in Aurora, Colorado, near Denver. Opening in 2015, the massive project calls for 1,500 guestrooms, 400,000 square feet of exhibit and meeting space, and a dramatic atrium offering panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains.
“We are thrilled by the prospect of a Gaylord property in the Denver market, which has fast become one of the most desirable tourist and business travel destinations in the United States and a destination of choice for meeting planners and conventions,” says Colin V. Reed, Gaylord’s chairman and CEO.
