Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts has unveiled designs for the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Beverly Hills, which is expected to open in 2017 on the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards. The 12-story, 170-room hotel will be the brand’s first new build on the West Coast.

Pierre-Yves Rochon Inc. (PYR) of Paris and Chicago, under its parent company Perkins +Will, will complete the interior design, and San Franciscoâ€â€œbased Gensler, will design the exterior. Custom Strass crystal chandeliers, lacquered sycamore millwork, Lalique installations, and a curated art program will mark the interior, complemented by a contemporary white stone façade reflective of California’s Streamline Moderne style.
The hotel will also feature a triple-height lobby with a contemporary Art Deco design, the signature Waldorf Astoria clock, hand-painted murals of California landscapes and custom chandeliers. Each of the 170 guestrooms will feature unrivaled views and floor-to-ceiling windows, while the third level’s Villa Suites will open onto manicured private garden terraces.
“The arrival of our Waldorf Astoria brand to Beverly Hills is one of the most highly anticipated developments in our portfolio,” says John T.A. Vanderslice, global head of Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Worldwide. “Beverly Hills is synonymous with luxury. This Waldorf Astoria hotel will be impeccably designed to provide unforgettable experiences reflective of its iconic location.”
