The 5-Star El Encanto hotel in Santa Barbara is undergoing a $46 million rebuild, according to GlobeSt.com. Commercial builder Bernards tells the real estate website that it is replacing the main hotel with a “meticulously constructed recreation of the period architecture.” The new building, designed by Gensler, will feature a spa, fitness center, and infinity pool. Existing bungalows will undergo significant renovations. The project also calls for 13 new Spanish Colonial Revival-style cottages.
